Default "Help me!"

This is about the paragon skill, "Help me!".

I only started playing again recently. But I do a lot of research online just to test my own builds against others.

I hear a lot about "There's nothing to Fear!", or "Go for the eyes!". But I rarely ever hear anything good about the paragon motivation tree. Am I missing something fundamental about this skill? "Help me!"? It doesn't seem to get any love at all.

It's an instant heal that lets other spells cast on you 50% faster afterwards. If you combine this with only one motivation paragon (who can also give +24ar, burn ppl, and +30% damage reduction to burning) casting Chorus of Restoration. Basically it turns that one heal into a burst heal that recharges every 10 seconds.

The reason I'm posting it in the Hero and AI forum is because it seems to make all the heroes extremely durable. And you only need like maybe 6 command for it to be effective.

Err i think the problem is the fact that paragons are the worst class in gw - in the sense that anet gave them seriously bad skills.
All professions can do some sort of solo stuff but thats where paragons get hit bad as there isnt much they can do solo - again anets skill ideas made them more a party buff than a decent profession with gd offence/defence.
Thats why you only see a handful of builds for paragons and the most used one is probably imbagon ( with 2 other paragons i think ).
Hell i think the paragons holding the record for least amount of builds ever on pvx ( past and present ).A lot of ppl are waiting ( or used to wait ) for a paragon update which should improve them - think anet said something last yr about it - just before derv update i believe.

It's because self heals are mostly wasted slots. Your backline is either good enough, or it's not. If it is, then self heals are redundant; if it's not, then it's much better that you fix them instead of slotting self heals onto all your party.

Not sure what you meant by "motivation paragon (who can also give +24ar, burn ppl, and +30% damage reduction to burning)". You described what a Command para does, not a Moti one.

Help me + fall back and/or Never surrender on a /P hero, or Sacrificing necro can help the team , I run "help me" on an orders necro, apart from that, its not much use.

it could be good if you are running spank and tank tactics...

I.E. the tank would be targeted alot faster by; smite hex, condition, ect... but still most spells only need to target once, and most effective spells have around 1 second cast time so ur not saving all that much time.

as a /P or P/ your better off taking many other skills before considering "help me".

PS they should change the skill to : "Medic!"

Just throwing out there paragons didnt always suck. They used to be extremely cheap for PvP and then "fixed" them, gimping them for pve. This was before the pve/pvp splits.
